  • Teacher's Wish List

    Teacher's wish parents would:

    • listen to their children read to them every night
    • not do children's homework or projects
    • take their children to the library more often than to the video store
    • take their children to museums
    • not pressure their children to always be the best at everything
    • volunteer to help behind the scenes if schedules don't match the school days
    • work with the teacher as a team
    • realize teachers have a personal life and families of their own and may not be available on a parent's time schedule and
    • not shelter their children too much
Adapted from Family Style, November 1998
