Job Fairs | Youth Employment | Full Time Employment Department of Employment Services' 2009 Summer Youth Employment Program The 2009 SYEP will begin On June 29, 2009 and end August 21, 2009. New features for this year's program include: online registration, online job selection, and online job site information. Additional information on the the program will be posted by the DC Department of Employment Services in early spring. IRS Student Summer Internship Program Applications are now being accepted for students ages 16 and above for summer employment at the IRS. Salary range $10.00 per to $14.00. The application process: 1. E-mail resume and school transcript to Summer Hire Program Coordinator, Denise.K.Roper@irs.gov. 2. Once submitted, the youth will receive instructions on how to submit the supporting documents electronically. 3. After final seection has been made, the Washington Employment Office will initiate the fingerprint and tax check process. Note: Youth with juvenile offenses will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
